It was a calm day on the
ocean, perfect for pulling crab pots while bonding with friends. We enjoyed
the sites of the sea, including a variety of sea birds, dancing dolphins and a baby seal that played
on the surface of the water near our boat.
The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife implemented new crab pot regulations
this year. By limiting the number of pots it will give the crabs a chance to
mature and restock in numbers, which will prolong the season and make the
industry more sustainable.

The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too
impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a
gift from the sea.
-Anne Morrow Lindbergh
The
sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
-Jacques Yves Cousteau
