A December to Remember

Stinson Beach is a local favorite, but in December it practically becomes your own private beach. With three and a half miles of sand, there is plenty to do and see. Nothing beats a little paddle ball, playing in the surf, making sand angels, being buried in the sand, and chilling on a beach chair.

Dungeness Days

It was a calm day on the ocean, perfect for pulling crab pots while bonding with friends. We enjoyed the sites of the sea, including a variety of sea birds, dancing dolphins and a baby seal that played on the surface of the water near our boat.

The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife implemented new crab pot regulations this year. By limiting the number of pots it will give the crabs a chance to mature and restock in numbers, which will prolong the season and make the industry more sustainable.

It's been a great day!

The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea.

The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.

Whitney Wonder

A great adventure, making it to the top of Mount Whitney, the highest summit in the contiguous United States with an elevation of 14,505 feet. It is on the boundary between California's Inyo and Tulare counties.

“To reach beyond what you are you must ignore the rules and fashions of the day. Or perhaps better yet cast them way out in your peripheral vision where you can still see them but only as a vague reference point. This doesn’t mean that all the rules are gone. It might mean that you adopt a far tighter code of conduct to ensure the necessary level of intensity and adventure.” ― Peter Croft

Pump it Up!

Truckee Bike Park offers adventure for kids and adults of all ages. Sierra added another dust layer to her bike while bombing the berms, rocking the rollers, and jetting the jumps!

A pump track is a continuous circuit of dirt rollers, berms, and jumps that loops back on itself, allowing you to ride it continuously.
Pump tracks are gaining in popularity and we will hopefully be seeing more of these types of bikes parks being built in cities and towns all around.

Sierra Makes A SPLASH!

“A lake is a landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature.”

"Laughter sparkles like a splash of water in the sunlight".
Have some fun in the sun, get your feet wet, submerge yourself in a refreshing body of water, splash a little or a lot, smile, laugh, wrap your self in a warm sun-baked towel.
Happy Summer!
